What is a Competition Big Screen?
Competition Big Screen can be used to display the playing schedule, group rankings and results.
You upload the results during the competition using the Competition Builder* module and the group rankings are automatically calculated every time the screen refreshes. If the competition has a knockout stage then the knockout grids will be displayed when they have been setup.
Installation
Competition Big Screen is designed to be viewed on a TV, Smart TV or monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels via an Internet browser (for example Internet Explorer 9 or above). The TV or screen should be connected to the Internet and configured to be viewed in full screen mode.
You should use the address of the Competition Big Screen, which will have been sent to you with the Competition Microsite and Competition Builder instructions once we have completed the setup work.
A typical setup would be to connect the TV or screen to a desktop PC or laptop using an HDMI cable.
Things to consider
- Competition Big Screen is only available for 1 or 2 day competitions.
- Ensure the web browser on the device you intend to use, particularly built in web browsers on Smart TVs, support a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels in full screen mode
- Ensure to turn off all Browser menus and the status bar.
